Recently, there has been a piece of news appearing in various Thai medias reporting that the Bolivia president Evo Morales was considering giving Thailand’s deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra the Order of Simon Bolivar. However, such a piece of news does not appear in any other international medias, e.g. CNN, BBC, Reuters, AP etc., or even in the internet, causing wonder among Thai readers if this report is true or not. If it was fake, it would not only deceive Thai people but also tarnished the reputation of Bolivia. Mr. Thaksin is currently a convicted fugitive trying to stir political turmoil in Thailand.
Could you please give some comments on this?

Well I don't like politics to much, I think it's a fake and product of gossips that circulates around the world. It's a dirty political attack between the two countries. It's like hitting two birds in one rock or bullet. Shame shame shame.

What kind of gibberish is that Gelian?

Politics is just nasty. I don't like it too. I really suck whenever and wherever you go.

Gelian all politics are definitely not fake. There might be gossip involved but I don't know why you think politics are fake.

One possible angle can also be that the news is not a real one. News agencies such as CNN, BBC, Reuters, AP or anything related are based on facts which makes them a reliable source of news and information. Just imagine CNN reporting an inconsistent and news based on rumors? The results would be catastrophic! Their reputation as a fact giving body or establishment will be tarnished thus making their readers, listeners or watchers to seek other better options making their sales and ratings go down.

I totally agree with Lindsey that is a really good way of looking at the subject.

Well, with the new United states of America President Barack Obama I think the gap between the United States of America and Bolivia "maybe" narrowed down. I am still not giving up on politics, they are still the one running our country right?
Comment #8 Dean (63.176.159.8) - 04/28/09 16:54
Yeah, they are still running our country but are they running it the it should be in the right manner. For me the government is the biggest syndicate of all but just got accepted by more people.

Politics, politics, politics.. why do I hear negative feedback about politics from all the people that I met everyday, , and mow in this forums.. I do not know why you guys are thinking that way, are the political leaders in your country Dean looks like goons that you accused them as accepted syndicate of the country? There may be some political figures that are making money out of service but there are some that are true to their words and helps the poor..

Chris, give me one name or two of politicians who will lay down their life for your sake..let us just hit the rod while it is hot; politics is a dirty game..period.People are ranting about bad politics because we normally elect our leaders on a platform of change but they end up dissappointing us. No one is disputing that there are good ones, but how come they are not as vocal as their conniving counterparts?
Comment #11 Emilie (109.111.97.171) - 04/09/10 21:03
Yeah, I totally have to agree with that, politics is just a huge ground where people involved just play games and aims of becoming more richer. I hope that there would come a day when this stuffs would all be history and we are left with honest political guys, well at least in my dreams this is possible.
