How is New Years day celebrated in Bolivia? It would really be very much interesting to find out what it is all about.

The main part of the christmas in Bolivia is the Presebre, which is the nativity scene, set up by most families. christmas in Bolivia is the only occasion when families return home later at night or in the morning of Christmas. After this, the holiday feasting begins. Bolivians know little about Santa Claus and whatever is known of him is by the name Papa Noel.

The Presebre are made up like pyramid, having the manger at the top. In the middle of the Presebre, Bolivians put things found in the villages and stores. A cobbler would place dozens of tiny shoes, and also some tools of the trade in the Presebre. Also to be found in the manger are miniature of gifts to baby Jesus, like toys, ornaments, and paintings.
